Last week I had the good fortune of being in Berlin, Germany during two extraordinary events; the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall and the MTV Europe Awards. Berlin is magical, wild and by far the coolest city in Europe right now. It’s just bursting at the seams with hip, young, creative, artist types from all over the world. Hopefully you guys were following the MuchNews Twitter page for updates from the show. We caught up with the dashingly handsome duo Brody Jenner and Jesse Metcalfe before they presented on the big show. They wanted all the MuchMusic viewers to know how much they love them and what fun they had at the MMVAs.
Here are a few extra pics from our time in Berlin.
#1 – The night before the awards Foo Fighters played a small club gig as a treat for fans and also a chance for the band to rehearse as they haven’t been on a stage together in about a year, what with Dave Grohl busy with his new supergroup Them Crooked Vultures. They played pretty much everything you’ll find on their recently released Greatest Hits collection. It rocked!

#2 – While sightseeing the afternoon before the EMAs, MuchNews just happened upon the U2 soundcheck and who did we find? Jay-Z working out his rap with Bono for “Sunday Bloody Sunday” which would close out the night’s show.

#3 – We were bummed when Robbie Williams cancelled his EMAs performance, but lucky for everyone sexy Beyonce strapped on her garter belt and picked up the slack.

#4 – That’s me with Jessy Greene who plays violin and sings on tour with Foos and Pink. She rocks just like Juliette Lewis did with her band at one of the EMA afterparties. Just outside the frame is Val Kilmer who rolled with us all night….

#5 - And speaking of Val and afterparties, for the last stop of the evening we all caravanned to see the Backstreet Boys hit the stage at the MTV afterparty.

Like I said, Berlin is magical, wild and crazy cool.
