Billy Talent: Supporting A Good Cause

December 20th, 2007

Hello!

It’s Aaron from Billy Talent…so, Christmas is fast approaching and I hope you all enjoy your families and friends over the holidays. For us in Billy Talent, the holidays will also consist of a concert we are putting on at the Phoenix Concert Theatre on December 28. This will be the second annual F.U.M.S. (F**k You Multiple Sclerosis) concert series.

All proceeds for this concert will go to the MS Society of Canada Scholarship Fund supported by Billy Talent and friends. This program was put in place to help families who are trying to cope with the high cost of medicine and the inability to work and pay for their children’s education.

The lineup this year is a lot of fun and a little different than most shows. The beginning of the evening will have three bands performing from 8pm to 11pm followed by three DJs from 11pm to 2am. The evening will start with Saint Alvia Cartel, followed by City And Colour and then Billy Talent.

Right when the last note is played the show will turn into a party in the main room. The music for the evening will be supplied by k-os, DJ Jazz and Justin Peroff from Broken Social Scene.

Not only do you get such great music but you will also get to bring home something special that was created by my good friend Stu at Playdead. He has designed the passes for the show and everyone who buys a ticket will receive one.

I am so honoured to have so many amazing Canadian artists come out and help with a cause I hold so close to my heart. Tickets are available at Ticketmaster for $50 each. This will be a 19+ event.
