Black Lips release first video from new Mark Ronson-produced album

Back in November, we were given a first look and listen as to what the forthcoming Black Lips album would sound like.

Featuring Grammy-winning producer Mark Ronson (Amy Winehouse, Lily Allen) at the helm, the sixth Lips album will be called Arabia Mountain and hit stores some time in June 2011.

Considering they’re known for their scrappy, lo-fi garage sound, I’m sure the jaws of many long-time fans dropped upon hearing of Ronson’s involvement, but based on the album’s first single, “Go Out And Get It!” you can tell he’s done more good than bad (and not evil).

You can watch the new video (via VBS.TV) featuring the Lips, the Vivian Girls and some friends make the most of their debauched weekend in the Bahamas.

And don’t forget to catch both the Black Lips and Vivian Girls when they hit Montreal’s Le National on April 15th, and Toronto’s Phoenix Concert Theatre on the 16th.
