If you feel like Blurred Lines is playing every time you turn the radio on, you’re probably right. Robin Thicke’s breakout track is in contention to become the most popular song ever after spending an already impressive 12 weeks in the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart.
Blurred Lines has now tied Usher’s Yeah, the Black Eyed Peas’ Boom Pow Pow, Eminem’s Lose Yourself and Carlos Santana and Rob Thomas’s Smooth by spending 3 months on top, but he still has a way to get to have the most popular song EVER.
Here are the nine songs that have spent over 12 weeks on top of the Billboard Hot 100 Chart. Let’s just take a minute and sit in admiration of Boyz II Men and Mariah Carey. Dang.
