Mad Decent Records is currently at the top of their game. Diplo or the Major Lazar team seem to be producing everything on the radio, they got the call for No Doubt‘s summer smash hit “Settle Down.” Poolside‘s first record, Pacific Standard Time, was recently released and well received. Riff Raff and Flosstradamus are building their resumes. Snoop Dogg‘s new reggae moniker, Snoop Lion, is also slated to release his newest record with the label (and its accompanying biopic will be screened at the Toronto International Film Festival). Bonde Do Rolê have switched from Domino to Mad Decent for their newest record Tropicalbacanal. Teaming up with Diplo and Poolside, supported by the label that brought Brazil to the clubs, Tropicalbacanal is a summer-salsa-dance-party waiting to happen. Highlights of the record include “Brazilian Boys (with Ce’cile)” and “Bang (with Kool A.D. of Das Racist).”
