Bow Wow hasn’t been up to a lot since his last album, New Jack City II (2009). He signed with Cash Money Records in August last year and has been working on an album that’s set for release sometime this year. His career is getting back on track and this video offers a glimpse of what he’s been going through. “Sell My Soul” was recorded and filmed last year when times were a little bleak — maybe around the time Lottery Ticket came out. The honesty of the lyrics is refreshing and the simplicity of the video adds to the song’s emotion. It doesn’t seem like he’s acting, which makes it easy to appreciate the frustration he has with his life and career. Moral of the story: money can’t buy happiness
