Bridgit Mendler releases new song Hurricane from debut album

After wowing the New.Music.Live. crowd with her stripped down performance of Ready Or Not, we were expecting big things from Bridgit Mendler. The actress/singer doesn’t disappoint with her second single, Hurricane, off her upcoming debut album Hello My Name Is…. Taking some inspiration from Cher Lloyd and Lily Allen, Mendler’s Hurricane infuses elements of rap, gospel and pop.

Releasing her first album on October 22 with Hollywood Records, the same label that made music superstars out of Mendler’s fellow Disney actors Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato and The Jonas Brothers, Mendler is poised to make the difficult transition from child star to bona fide pop singer.
