What happened to the simple pleasures of the holiday season like:
-making snow angels
-scooping snow out of your pants after making snow angels
-tobogganing
-crashing into trees while tobogganing
-snow fights
-pretending you’re injured in a snow fight so that you can pummel those that come to your aid with snow balls at a closer range
I’m sick and tired of being sick and tired with the Christmas spirit being confused with the consumer spirit… Do yourself and those you love a favour this Christmas and give a gift that truly expresses how you feel, not how deep your pockets are: The Mixtape.
Yes, it’s true, some may say this is the embittered rant of a girl with limited cash-flow … but ME NO CARE. I say damn The Man and bring back The Mixtape as the go-to gift of choice!
And when I say Mixtape my friends, I mean TAPE, not CD. No effortlessly dragging and clicking your songs onto a disc. Take the time to press play and record on a tape deck (if you can find one … try an antiques mall) and put your personalized selections onto a damn cassette! Trust me, nothing says how much you care more than a tape filled with questionable music choices and illegible song titles. Happy mixing!
You’re Welcome,
Denise

I love mixtapes. And mix CDs. Or mix USB keys. Whatever!!

…but those with TOO much Christmas spirit really annoy me. especially those who forget that not everyone celebrates Christmas!!
I looove making mix cds
but see were you’re coming from with the mixtape thing.
i miss winter snow and hot chocolate. I mean, yeah we have both but snow is kinda lacking.
I love hot chocolate too. And apple cider.
I hope there is snow soon so I can go tobogganning!
We should have a mixtape club?
HOpt chocolate is good with marshmallows in it
