Britney fans walk out in Australia

Britney Spears is facing some harsh criticism down under.

Fans walked out of her concert in Perth, Australia Friday night as early as three songs in after complaining that the star lip-synched to her songs.

“For the price of the tickets we would have been better off to stay home and watch the DVD,” said fan Steven Buckley.

Spears had raised controversy last week for charging high ticket prices, as well as not providing large screens for fans sitting further away from the stage.

The local government is said to be debating whether or not to introduce a law requiring performers to disclose whether or not they are lip-synching.
