Britney Spears, Lauren Conrad and Lady Gaga are #trending this week

So it’s 10 am on a Monday and I’m still recovering from last night’s Britney Spears concert in Toronto! Were any of you there?! Let’s just say Britney’s back, b**ches! She was totally on her game and really performed for the crowd. She even sang live for most of the songs! Nicki Minaj opened for Britney and she was amazing as well! I can’t wait till she headlines her own concert tour. I’ll be there for sure.

Of course, I also need to mention our amazing episode of #trending! What did you guys think? We’ve had a lot of requests for a Lauren Conrad tutorial so I’m glad we found a good one to air on the show. I also loved meeting the girls from Rent Frock Repeat. Their whole concept of renting out designer dresses is so cool and I know a LOT of people who will be interested in checking their site out. After all, who doesn’t want to wear a designer outfit straight off the runway? And for just a few hundred dollars, it sure beats buying something at the mall that everybody else will have too!

I got the most tweets this weekend about my interview with Lady Gaga. We met Gaga at the MMVAs and she was kind enough to sit down with us in our #trending room for a chat. In fact, we were one of only two shows to get to talk to her! (Sooo amazing right?) I love Gaga’s fashion sense but I’ve always wondered a) how long it takes her to get dressed in the morning and b) if she ever repeats outfits. Sometimes these questions sound interesting in your mind but you never know if they’ll come out the same way in an interview. I was super nervous to meet Gaga but she immediately put me to ease with her answers to my first few questions. So, I decided to try my luck and ask about her outfits. “Um…I was just wondering…” I began. “Do you ever wear the same thing more than once?” I was chewing on my lip and bracing for her reaction (or anticipating an angry response) but to my surprise (and relief), Gaga just laughed and said, “Of course I wear outfits over again! I love my clothes!” Phew. You’ll have to watch #trending again this week or go to muchmusic.com/tv/trending to see the rest of the interview. But needless to say, it went really well and I now love Gaga even more!
