How this flew by off the radar is a good question but Busta Rhymes hit up the BET Awards a couple weeks ago. Now his CD is really worth reviewing. It’s bar none, one of the best rap albums this mastermind has ever released. It’s easy to appreciate his other albums, the 1997 hit When Disaster Strikes offers something that has never been duplicated. This humble heavy weight has really outdone himself now. Busta cut off all his dreads and has been signed to Aftermath Records, the number 1 spot to be in hip-hop, produced by the omnipotent Dr. Dre. The Big Bang has big name production and big name cameos.

This performance kicks off with Busta absolutely covered in thousands upon thousands of dollars of necklaces, just like the liner notes of his new album. Will.I.Am and Kelis sing along for I Love My Chick and then the songs kicks straight off into a remix of Touch It where Mary J. Blige, Spliff, Missy Elliot, Rah Digga, Papoose, Lloyd Banks and Eminem bust out.

The Leader of the New School finally salutes both Big Proof and Israel Ramirez (his bodyguard killed in the line of duty) at the end of the performance.
