Sneak peek of Crazy, Cupid, Love!

Last year I read this amazing book by Laurie Notaro called “Autobiography Of A Fat Bride”. In it, Laurie recalled a funny anecdote about the crazy antics that recently married (and inebriated) couples get up to on their wedding night. At one wedding she attended, “the groom smashed the wedding cake so hard into his bride’s face that she had to blow her nose to get the frosting and little bits of strawberry bits out.”
When I read this (gasping for air because I was laughing so hard), I thought, “No way!” As if someone could get THAT much cake in their face.
Well, *I* was this very bride (so to speak) on Friday night when Chris and I (caught on camera phone) got into a crazy cake fight at a birthday party. I literally inhaled the cake, he caught me that off guard. Two days later I STILL smell strawberry vanilla frosting every time I inhale.
You know those crazy out-of-control parties you’d see in John Hughes movies from the 80s? Where there’s a pizza spinning on a record player and a huge dance party in the foyer of the house? Yeah, those types of parties. They totally do exist.
