Calvin Harris’ “We Found Love” was not originally for Rihanna

DJ Calvin Harris revealed recently that his hit song We Found Love was originally turned down by two other singers before picking Rihanna. Man, those two singers must be kicking themselves a bit right now.

“It was going to be the third single off my new album and I needed a vocalist, so it was like, Anyone want to sing on this? Then someone said, I do, and it was Rihanna,” explains Harris. “Two other people could have released it, though.”

Another singer who will soon join the Calvis Harris hit club is Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine. The DJ reveals that his next single will feature the pop singer and the song will be called Sweet Nothing. Can’t wait to hear it!
