This week marked the opening of the first Topshop and Topman stores in Canada. The new flagships opened to lines of eager customers on Wednesday at Yorkdale Shopping Centre in Toronto. On hand for the opening: Topshop’s creative director Kate Phelan, Topman’s design and development director Gordon Richardson, and the man behind the store, British businessman Sir Philip Green (Talk about star power right?)
Topshop and Topman will not only bring its brand of super-hip British street style to Toronto, it’s also introducing a new way to shop: the stores will be featured as “shops within a shop” at The Bay. In other words, Topshop and Topman will be located just inside the entrance to The Bay at Yorkdale. It’s a way to bring all three brands together to provide an amazing shopping experience!
Topshop and Topman are known for their mix of trend-driven pieces, special collaborations (with people like Kate Moss!) and party dresses and suits (we’ve also found some of our favourite sweaters, tees and shorts from there). While this is the first store to open in Canada, the company says as many as three more stores may open by the end of next year. We can’t wait!
