Canadian acts flood South By Southwest line-up

In two months the who’s who of the (indie) music industry will flock to Austin, Texas for what has become the world’s biggest music/conference, South By Southwest. And judging by the line-up, Canada will be represented by possibly more artists than ever in 2011.

Confirmed so far are A-Trak, Babe Rainbow, Basketball, Boats, Bonjay, Braids, Bran Van 3000, Buck 65, Cadence Weapon, Christine Fellows, Chromeo, The Dears, Diamond Rings, Die Mannequin, Dinosaur Bones, Dog Day, Down With Webster, DVAs, Ghettosocks, The Golden Dogs, Great Lake Swimmers, Hey Rosetta!, Hollerado, Hot Hot Heat, Hot Panda, Imaginary Cities, In-Flight Safety, Jenn Grant, KEN Mode, Keys N Krates, The Luyas, Malajube, Meligrove Band, Memoryhouse, METZ, Miracle Fortress, More Or Les, Mother Mother, No Gold, No Joy, Owen Pallett, PS I Love You, Rah Rah, Ron Sexsmith, The Rural Alberta Advantage, The Russian Futurists, Said The Whale, Shad, Small Sins, Suuns, Sweatshop Union, Teen Daze and Wordburglar. Phew!

Of course, the list of American and international artists heading to Texas is just as impressive: Bright Eyes, Low, The Kills, Dodos, The Raveonettes, J Mascis, Gayngs, Edwyn Collins, Surfer Blood, Das Racist, Toro Y Moi, Dom, Dum Dum Girls, Diamond Rings, Cass McCombs, Cloud Nothings, Darkstar, Sharon Van Etten, The Twilight Sad, A Place to Bury Strangers, La Sera, The Antlers, tUnE-yArDs, Big K.R.I.T., Yuck, Ty Segall, Thee Oh Sees, Gold Panda, Nite Jewel, Asobi Seksu, Weekend and Javelin.

South By Southwest takes place from March 16th to 20th.
