Carly Rae Jepsen speechless over upcoming tour with Justin Bieber

To say that Carly Rae Jepsen has had a life-changing 2012 would be an understatement. The Canadian Idol finalist went from moderate success in Canada to a world wide phenom in the course of a few weeks after gaining the attention of superstar Justin Bieber. Jepsen is readying herself for the opening slot on Bieber’s Believe tour this fall, telling MTV “I don’t know what to expect.”

Jepsen had a sneak peek earlier this year into the world of Beliebers when she opened for Justin across the pond, saying “I did one or two shows with Justin. One in London and one in Mexico City, and all I can say is, like, ‘Wow.’ They were huge — 300,000 people in Mexico City. I was speechless.”

Not only will Jepsen be taking off to tour with Justin in September, but the BC singer will have lots of new material to play since her sophomore album drops the same month. The album includes a track with Justin, though Carly Rae has “been sworn to secrecy”, explaining “The Justin song, I’m kind of sworn to secrecy on because I think we want to release it together at one moment. But the rest of the album, I’m really excited for.”
