Catching Fall’s Best Part 4

September 16th, 2010

Fall is all about the harvest and reaping the rewards of a long year! And the rewards are plenty this season! We’ve got a new femme fatale: the gun-toting assassin Nikita. Plus it’s the end of an era as the final volume and final battle launches on the big screen with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. All that plus a slew of new music videos to boot!

Here’s what’s hot on our autumn radar today:

Nikita: Looks Do Kill

La Femme Nikita. The Assassin. The Point of No Return. She’s been called many things in different media but this time the CW’s Nikita tells a new chapter in life of the world’s most famous female assassin. The old movies and previous series explored Nikita rise as a professional assassin and her escape for a normal life. This new serving is all about what she does next. Payback is her number one priority (that and not letting another child get swept up like she did). The story is exciting, the action is fast, and the twists are shocking. With no more 24 or Alias on air we need another high-end espionage series: Nikita is it! Plus the lead is played by red-hot Maggie Q! Only one episode has aired so there’s time to get hooked.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: It All Ends Here

He’s found the Philosopher’s Stone. He opened the Chamber of Secrets. He saved the Prisoner of Azkaban. He competed for the Goblet of Fire. He joined the Order of the Phoenix. And he discovered the identity of the Half-Blood Prince. Now Harry Potter and friends Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley are entering their final battle against Voldemort and we the viewers are getting the last taste of the wizarding world forever. An event 15 years in the making starts its dramatic conclusion on November 18 with part 1 (part two premieres in mid-2011). And believe me – I’ll be there. You’ll be there. And the guy beside you will be there. It’s the end of an era guys. Try not to cry…

Brand New Online Videos!

Fall means music shelves are stacked with new albums. After they’ve dropped all their summer hits your fav hoppers, rockers and poppers hit you with another vibe as they preview their new tracks, releases their new songs and show off their new videos. You’ve heard these as First Spins on Much already, but we’ve got fresh new videos for a slew of songs online. Here’s a sample of what’ve got today! Check them out:

B.o.B. ft. Rivers Cuomo – Magic – B.o.B Presents: The Adventures Of Bobby Ray

Danny Fernandes f. Belly – Automatic – AutomaticLuv
Kings Of Leon – Radioactive – Come Around Sundown
Metric – Black Sheep – Scott Pilgrim vs. The World Soundtrack
Travie McCoy – We’ll Be Alright – Lazarus

If I Stay by Gayle Forman

I haven’t read this novel yet but I am so totally hooked already. It came out last spring and has been gaining in popularity ever since. Meet Mia, the star of “If I Stay”. She’s a girl who had everything…and then a freak accident lands her in a coma. We see and learn everything from Mia’s comatose point of view: her grieving family, the acceptance of their loss, their secrets and feelings and hidden thoughts. With all this knowledge Mia now makes the ultimate decision: should she hang on or should she let go? Wow. If the description is this deep, just imagine what the story is like. Pick this one up!
