You’ve seen the MMVAs, you’ve fawned over the pictures (haven’t you? HAVEN’T YOU??), you’ve waxed nostalgic about Girlicious’ assets jangling on your telly. But just over two months after the big day, we’ve got an anniversary present for you: stuff that didn’t make the show! Why? Who knows. But the gold has resurfaced and you can see it in all its glory right now.
Next on the docket (see the Fall Out Boy files here) are such luminaries as Steve Carell, Anne Hathaway, Jordin Sparks, Ne-Yo and Miley Cyrus in never-before-seen clips of them talking about MMVA stuff. I just wish Miley would have challenged Babel to a dance off or something. That woulda been awesome.
STEVE CARELL & ANNE HATHAWAY: an unused edit featuring them explain the People’s Choice voting.
NE-YO: Unused clip talking about People’s Choice voting.
MILERZ: Miley Cyrus wishes she coulda been here.
JORDIN SPARKS: The People’s Choice siteeation

But exactly two months after the big day, we’ve got an anniversary present for you: stuff that didn’t make the show! Why? Who knows. First on the docket are the winners of the People’s Choice: Favourite International Video, Fall Out Boy! I guess they don’t just film one acceptance speech - they shoot a few. Some with their pants off. Just the way it should be, RIGHT PETE WENTZ? Eh? Eh? Past its time? Whateva.
TAKE ONE!
TAKE TWO!
TAKE THREE - Some Voting Assistance
Next Week: Jordin Sparks, Steve Carell and more!

MMVA08: c’est fini. Il es kaputo. Je ne souviens the french speak. And judging by the hour break I just took after writing that poor excuse for an intro, I am still recovering. And judging by the 7 minute break I just took after THAT sentence, I need more sleep.
Rain! Lightning! Famouser people than you! RAIN! Ziplines! Collabos! Fierceness combined with rain! You get it. Last night’s festivities made me feel special inside (plus a stiff neck and internal freezing due to rain soakage), and hopefully it gave you warm fuzzies too (but not the soreness and soakage .. unless you were here, in which case you definitely got drenched. On behalf of the weather, I apologize).

To highlight some of the best (or worst) MMVA mo’s, here are my impromptu awards:
Best Villain - the rain. For serious. Who cares about the paltry lightning, the rain during the red carpet was like nothing I’ve ever felt before. Grape size!!

Weirdest, Yet Oddly Enjoyable Collabo - Simple Plan rocking out the end of Flo Rida’s “Low” performance. Holla at Flo for flying onto the stage with a zipline, too.
The Right Stuff Award - NKOTB, for pulling out the “Right Stuff” dance. How amazing would it have been if they did the “Step By Step” upsy downsy stair dance?

Sauciest Cheeky Monkeys - Girlicious. Too bad the audio was wack - their choreography was tight.
Best Dance Moves - Melanie C’s running man when she presented an award. Anybody who does that in heels deserves some props. Especially when the “anybody” is somebody who spent 7 years in sneakers.
Too Bad You Missed Rehearsal - Akon. When your chorus starts, mic goes to mouth.
Unexpectedly Cutest - Brody Jenner. I never saw it before. Honourable Mention: Joey Joe McIntyre (I was always a Donnie chick)

Anyway, today is Day One in the approximately 364 day countdown til next year. But we’ve got a few little awesome-filled fun bites to keep you entertained for now (ahem):
* Watch the whole show from front to back and back to front and side to side. It’s like a dance, but with less moving. Kind of like the Rockaway (lean back, lean back).
* That includes the torrential downpour red carpet show, btw.
* That also includes a couple clips from the rambunctious and awesome Aftermath show.
* And then you should look at our photos. We worked hard in the rain with anvils on our back.
* And - oh yeah - this is an awards show??? Hehe. Check out the list of all the winners.

Last night was a blast, but in all the commotion - the rain, the tornado warnings, and the stampede of celebrities - there was one group of people we forgot to highlight: our hardworking, always beautiful and stylish VJs who asked all the right questions and always had a helpful, comforting umbrella on hand.
In fact, they were so on-the-move for the entire show that our photographers could barely snap their pics… but the key word here is “barely.” Here are a few choice shots:

Great show, Guys!

New Kids On The Block are doing a deadly medley right now. Choreographed and everything. I saw them rehearse it late last night and I swear Donnie looked into my eyes. Now they’re closing out the show with an old school asskicking - a medley of their hits, and it goes something like this:
Step By Step
Hangin’ Tough
Please Don’t Go Girl
(You’ve Got It) The Right Stuff
Summertime

Rihanna is always stunning, but what is she wearing?! She just finished her performance of “Take A Bow” and she seemed to be wearing police hat…I don’t get it. Still, her voice is beautiful and you can hear the power in her voice carry through into this powerful song. Riri is all about the woman walk and the drama. Drama drama drama.

Whoa! Guess who just won the People’s Choice Award for Favourite International Video! Is anyone surprised? I actually am a bit surprised that Tokio Hotel wasn’t nominated for the award…but maybe that woulda been unfair since they have a rabid online fanbase, you know? Gotta make the category a bit more competitive!
So Fall Out Boy aren’t at the show to accept their award but they’ve sent in a thank you message. Patrick Stump is amazed and appreciative of the phenomenal win. And Pete Wentz is absolutely GLOWING. And shrieking, cause as the camera pans down, he announces, “We’ve done this whole thing with no pants on!!” and we see that the boys are in their undercrackers! Haha. Well done, boys.

The unstoppable group that is Simple Plan has just once again won the award for People’s Choice: Favourite Canadian Group!
Quick and to-the-point, the boys ran onto stage, didn’t slip, and thanked their fans.
Now cut to them partying it up backstage ![]()
[Editor's Note: We caught up with the guys and they had this message for us to pass along to their fans!]
WOW! Just wanted to thank everyone for voting for us in the People’s Choice Favourite Group category!! We are very fortunate to have the best fans in the world. Every single time we have been nominated, we have won the award. And that is all because of you! So thanks to all of you and hope you enjoyed the show tonight!

Girlicious just preformed “Like ME”! OMG! As per usual they were sassy and sexy, the perfect Girlicious combo! They ended off the song by breaking it down with a dance break. How….Girlicious of them! I’m sure Wendy LOVED it!
