What is the number one show among women?

‘Vampire’ was the fifth most searched word on the internet in 2009, and the thirst for blood isn’t slowing down! Vampire Diaries has been voted the number one show among women aged 12-34 years old.
Where oh where could you find such an obviously amazing show? Friday’s on MuchMusic of course!

Skins Recap: 4.01 & 4.02

Season 4 (or as they say in the UK, Series 4) of the extremely successful teen drama Skins premiered last week with one of the most eye-opening and shocking scenes that I have ever seen on the show.

After watching Thursday’s episode of Vampire Diaries, Mr. Playboy himself tweeted “Tonight’s episode of Vampire Diaries was a good one.”
Aw Hef, still young at heart. Also, he dates 20 year-olds and probably can’t get the channel changer away from them.

LOST Episode 6.1: Aw Heck, Juliet, What Have You Done?

How psyched am I for this season of LOST? If my end of Season Five blog was any indication, you’ll know the answer is SO EXCITED. I’ve been telling everyone I know about the coming of the new season for the last three weeks.
For tonight, I wanted to do a play-by-play blog post about how in-friggin-crazy everything is, BUT then I got carried away watching the show.
So I’m gonna set up an easy chart for you folk to check out, and put some point form thoughts below, so next week we can have a super-productive discussion. Hopefully this will help us all (especially those who got too excited to sit through two hours and went running crazily through the snow in their boxer shorts) get un-confused and caught up.

disBAND: Em’s Final Words

After coming home from Toronto, getting some sleep in my own bed (finally), and reflecting on the whole experience, here’s the bottom line. I am a better artist/performer since coming home from disBAND. Am I discouraged at the judges verdict? Not at all. In fact, I’m even more driven than ever. I pretty much got the best scenario possible with getting a disBAND. The judges didn’t rip me apart, they told me to keep going. I agree that the song was a bit out of my vocal range, but what I didn’t tell the judges, and I should have, was that I rehearsed the song so much the days before the performance, my voice was shot. The most encouraging part of the verdict, was Mark Spicoluk himself coming up to the green room to say hi, and give me the thumbs up to keep going. I’ve been bugging Mark for the last year and a half to listen to my music, and he has. Actually getting to perform a new song, and meeting him was so rewarding.

disBAND: Em Airs Tonight

My first encounter with Greig Nori - I’m standing on the massive stage of the famous Molson Amphitheatre in Toronto, guitar in hand, freezing my booty off (wrong wardrobe choice DOH!), and he’s talking at me through his infamous megaphone - Nori style. It was an epic moment where I truly woke up and felt the awesome reality that I am on disBAND. From that point on began one of the craziest weeks of my life! From writing a brand new song in my hotel room, scaling the CN Tower, chillin’ with live tigers, meeting insanely talented artists, to performing live at MuchMusic… it was a rollercoaster ride that I’ll never forget. Representing Calgary, AB I gave this opportunity 150% of my energy. I’ve been independently working on my music for the past 4 years, so to have an opportunity to reach a national audience by being on disBAND is incredible.

See! See! I told y’all Jersey Shore was like Friends!
Apparently the ‘guids read my blog, cuz now they’re stickin’ together like the Friends cast and demanding that they all be paid the same for a second season. MTV has offered each cast member $10,000 per episode for all 12 episodes. The cast has until the end of day today to accept the offer. MTV says that if only some members accept the deal, those who do not will be replaced. Noooooo!

The Secret Life of the American Teen gets celeb guest

There will be a familiar face coming back to The Secret Life of the American Teen. Olympic gold medalist Shawn Johnson will be back on the set of The Secret Life. Shawn first appeared, as herself, on the season finale. Shawn will be appearing in one new episode.
