Celebrate MCA’s best moments at MuchMusic

With today’s sad news on the passing of Beastie Boys member MCA, we’re reminded of some great moments the hip hop artist spent at MuchMusic along with his band. From freestyling live on air with Mike D and Ad-Rock in 1986, to performing at the 2004 MMVAs, to shutting down Queen St. in Toronto for an hour-long special edition of Much On Demand, the Beastie Boys have been some of MuchMusic’s favourite guests over the years.

MuchMusic will be airing RIP MCA: A Beastie Boy Remembered this Sunday, May 6 at 10 pm ET. Celebrating the life and legacy of Adam “MCA” Yauch. From pioneering rapper with the Beastie Boys to social activist for Tibetan Freedom we go back into the MuchMusic vault to tell his story.

To celebrate the life of Adam Yauch we’ve put together our most memorable moments with the MC below.
