After waiting a year to release her debut album, London pop pixie Charli XCX finally saw True Romance squeak out this past April. And to show the delay was not on her end, she’s already back with a brand new single taken from her upcoming second album.
“SuperLove” finds Charli and her posse taking in the technicolor wonderland that is Tokyo, visiting an ornately decorated arcade, a dazzingly lit discotheque where she bodyrocks with some robots and goes cruisin’ with a motorcycle gang. However, unlike the gloomier goth pop of True Romance, “SuperLove” features a much bouncier club sound.
Since this virtually came as a surprise, there are no real details about this album, but we can only assume (read: hope) with “SuperLove” getting released on December 1 that the album should follow shortly after.Tweet
