The Peanuts gang were my pals growing up. Snoopy and Linus practically raised me (this is not true as they are cartoon characters)! That “block head” Charlie Brown never got it right and it was adorable.

Artist Tim O’Brien featured this realistic portrait of Charlie Brown in a recent art show titled “Monsters”. He explains,

I looked at the list of invites and then imagined all of the usual takes on what a monster is thought to be. Perhaps some will be cute, some ugly. I went in another direction. What if I were to paint a realistic version of something usually thought of as cute and benign? For no particular reason and maybe several, I chose Charlie Brown.

Poor lil guy.
