Cher Lloyd finds her inner Britney in video for Oath

Cher Lloyd has released her second single from Sticks + Stones with Oath, featuring rapper Becky G. Lloyd has followed up her tongue and cheek video for Want U Back with a Spears inspired video, featuring an ode to the pop princess’ Baby, One More Time music video.
Though the song lyrics are all about friendship and sticking by someone’s side, the video mainly consists of the usual music video beauty shots, with Lloyd frolicking on the beach and perched on top of a vintage car. I have to admit I was pretty disappointed with the concept, which could have included an inspiring message of anti-bullying and female friendship. Still, it’s exciting to see two young artists supporting one another in the track.
The North American edition of Lloyd’s debut album Sticks + Stones debuted on October 2.
