Chris Brown has apologized for his GMA rampage and I, for one, don’t care. After becoming enraged as a result of questions pertaining to the brutal beating of his ex-girlfriend Rihanna, whom he left bleeding on the street on the night of the 2009 Grammy awards, Brown threw a chair at the window in his dressing room at the ABC studios, causing glass to shatter onto the sidewalk below. Additionally, Brown began screaming, alerting GMA employees and causing them to call security. When Brown did leave the studio he was photographed shirtless on the street.

Last night Brown appeared on BET and gave a half-hearted apology, saying that he needed to blow off some steam after the interview and that he’s sorry if he alarmed anyone working at GMA with his yelling. Brown somewhat defended his beahaviour by attempting to rationalize throwing a chair at a glass window as ‘not hurting anyone’. Really, Chris? Really? What about the glass that shattered on the sidewalk below that could have hurt someone? What if the chair had gone all the way through the window and landed on someone?

You have made it crystal clear to all your ‘haters’ that you in no way can control your anger and emotions. Preaching love for your fans and thanking #teambreezy, and then turning around and showing people that you have in no way taken full responsibility for your actions nor succeeded in changing your behaviour makes a mockery out of those who are pulling for you. The fact that so many of your fans are young boys and girls who look up to you as a role model should be enough of a push to force you to step back from the limelight, regardless of whether you have a new album to promote, and get the anger management counseling and therapy you so obviously still need.
