Wanna go to Chris Brown’s birthday party? So does he! Too bad no one will let Brown put up his pinata and balloon animals. Brown has been all over the States from Miami to New York to LA in an attempt to find a club that will host his 21st birthday party, but has been turned down by promoters who do not want to ruin their current or potential relationship with Brown’s ex, Rihanna.
In addition to his birthday party blues, Brown insists that radio stations have been refusing to play singles off his latest album, Graffiti, a result of backlash over the still-fresh memory of Brown assaulting his former girlfriend Rihanna in February 2009.
So, lemme get this straight, Chris Brown. You beat up your girlfriend and we’re supposed to feel bad for you because no one will play your crapola album or let you have a party to celebrate you and your astronomically high level of jackass-ness? Excuse me while I cry for you. I’m not even going to say this is karma getting back at you, because, crazy me, I don’t place domestic violence and birthday parties in the same category. People have long memories and even though the court system didn’t punish you that hard, thankfully the media, the music biz and many of your former fans have. You want to throw yourself a party? Try throwing a huge birthday party for underprivileged kids. Think of someone other than yourself and your career. The public is much more receptive to people that don’t disgust them.
