Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears reunite with Madonna

We’re gonna party like it’s 2003! The official Twitter page for Madonna’s current MDNA tour is reporting that Christina Aguilera will be appearing with the Material Girl on her October 10th and 11th tour dates in Los Angeles. The Twitter handle is claiming that Aguilera will be on hand for a special performance and that Britney Spears will also be at the two shows, though it’s unclear whether she too will grab a mic and hit the stage.

The one and only time the three heavyweights of pop music sang together was during their historical performance at the 2003 MTV VMAs, where Madonna planted a kiss on both performers. Madonna has shown no signs of slowing down her publicity stunts in concert, having recently come under fire for using a swastika on her stage show. Could this mean another kiss in the works? And will Justin Timberlake be in the audience again?

The 2012 MTV VMAs air Thursday, September 6th at 8 pm ET on MUCH.
