Christina Aguilera gets emotional on new track “Blank Page”

Christina Aguilera leaked a track from her upcoming album Lotus over the weekend. The ballad entitled Blank Page shows the Voice judge stripped-down and emotional, something the pop star pulls off very well as seen on past singles like Beautiful and I Turn To You.

This new song features just the singer and the piano as she sings that she’s that she’s “been no saint”.

“[It's] a beautiful, vulnerable, amazing ballad that reminds me of the emotional vulnerability yet empowerment feeling that you get from listening to say a ‘Beautiful’ from previous records,” she told Billboard. “I wrote and recorded a lot on this record that was made to hopefully inspire the next generation of vocalists,” she said. “My experience as a coach on ‘The Voice’ has really helped me dig deeper to find new inspiration because I almost feel like it’s my responsibility to uphold a certain vocal standard.”
