Christina Aguilera called into Ryan Seacrest’s radio show this morning to discuss the debut of her new single Your Body, her upcoming album Lotus and working on Season 3 of The Voice. Teasing the music video to accompany her sexy new single, Christina said “I’m actually in the finishing touches of the editing process right now. It’s very tongue-in-cheek, very playful, it’s very fun. It’s kind of comedic in a way…I’m kind of playing this character it’s very much like a character outside of myself. It’s just fun, it’s like a little mini movie. I don’t want to give too much away!”

On Lotus, named after the strength of the flower, Aguilera said “It’s about personal freedom for me. I went into this record finding my own individuality again. It’s like Stripped 2.0.” Christina explained to the radio show host that the album covers a wide range of emotions and even includes a song dedicated to her fans, called Sing For Me. Lotus will also feature a collaboration with Sia on the song Blank Page.

While Season 3 of The Voice has only just begun, Aguilera seems to have her eye on life after the singing show has wrapped, saying “I’ve had a lot of fun with the show but I can’t wait to get back to me.” Can we expect an Aguilera tour in the future? I hope so.
