It’s been a while since we’ve gotten a new album from Christina Aguilera, but the Voice coach is hard at work on a new batch of songs and she reveals in a new interview that the album will serve as a rebirth of sorts, as well as a culmination of “everything I’ve experienced up until this point.”
“I’ve been through a lot since the release of my last album, being on (The Voice), having had a divorce,” she says. “This is all sort of a free rebirth for me.”
Aguilera promises that it will be a feel-good album, as her new single Your Body proves. The raunchy song, which leaked last week, was produced by Max Martin, the same man behind her collaboration with Maroon 5′s hit last summer, Moves Like Jagger. Maroon 5 frontman, and Voice coach, Adam Levine recently said that he heard the new single and told Aguilera at a news conference for the show, “I hate you because it’s so good.”
No word yet on when the album will be released, but it has been confirmed that Aguilera’s fellow Voice coach Cee Lo Green will make an appearance on the record.
“It’s very self-expressive and it’s all heartfelt,” Aguilera explains.
Don’t forget to catch The Voice this fall on MUCH!
