Chrome Canyon “Memories of a Scientist” (video)

You could make the case that Chrome Canyon is a bit of an oddball on Stones Throw Records, arguably the premier underground hip-hop label. You could also argue, given STR artists’ penchant for MPCs and old-school beats, that he’s in the perfect place…just a different genre. Chrome Canyon’s debut album of epic, early 90s, synth instrumentals is due for release on October 9th. The video for “Memories of a Scientist” is, I think, what goes through Morgan Z’s head every time he writes a Chrome Canyon track. Throw in a DeLorean and you might as well start calling him Christopher Lloyd.
