To celebrate her 27th birthday, Ciara released the second music video for her upcoming album One Woman Army. In Got Me Good, Ciara brings back a late 1990s video vibe, complete with a speeding jeep in the desert a la California Love and a number of dance sequences, reminiscent of the Spice Girls Say You’ll Be There and Mya’s Whatcha Gonna Do.
But Ciara puts her on spin on the recycled concept, breathing new life into the scene and making a video with a simple premise incredibly entertaining and watchable. With a number of dance crews backing her up throughtout the video, Ciara holds her own with the intricate choroegraphy and looks flawless while doing it.
Working with director Jospeh Kahn on the shoot, Ciara said that her hopes for the song and video are to make people feel good. “When they hear this song, I want them to be inspired and motivated to dance and be free and to love.”
