It is no secret that I am truly, madly, deeply in love with Claire Danes. I am a MASSIVE My So-Called Life fan. I have every episode on VHS. You heard that right: VHS, recorded right off the television onto TAPE. So old-school. Since then I have paid an arm and a leg for the My So-Called Life DVD set. And news of yet ANOTHER MSCL DVD set (to be potentially released this Fall) is giving me heart palpitations. This TV show defined my high school experience. Then Romeo+Juliet came out. Mostly everyone flocked to this movie for Leo, but no, not I. My love of everything Danes (and just Danes) got me to the theatre on opening night.

My love and admiration continues to thrive even today. I’m seriously considering booking a trip to NYC based purely on her Broadway show dates this Fall, with hopes of getting a ticket. Seeing her perform live would send me into convulsions. You say “Stalker” and I say “Shut your face!”

Why do I love Claire so much? It’s because she is all class and talent. She deserves nothing but our utmost respect. She continues to prove this over and over. She will never go the out-of-control route of, say, Lindsay Lohan. Claire is much wiser, my friend - she is pure professionalism.

I confide in you because - OMG, I can’t breathe - the one and only CLAIRE DANES IS COMING TO MOD! That’s right folks, she will be here Wednesday, July 25 @ 5pm, to chat about her new movie Stardust. (You can see the trailer here).
