Cody Simpson admits to being bullied in school

In lieu of anti-bullying week, we spoke to pop star Cody Simpson about his experiences of getting bullied in school.

“I did experience a bit of bullying at school,” he says. “Especially when I started music, it was definitely not the coolest thing to do; I switched my focus from sports and a lot of people saw that as a weak thing to do.”

The one thing that got Simpson over those bullies, though, was his passion for music. And, as we can all see now, he made the right decision switching to music and just proves that if you’re passionate about something, you can persevere through all the negativity. You go, Cody!
