Coldplay and Rihanna release tour video for Princess Of China

While fans will have to wait for the official music video from Coldplay and Rihanna for their Mylo Xyloto collaboration Princess of China, the band has released the official tour video, which may or may not be a part of the full version music video. It’s, well, interesting.

Backed by simplistic green screen visuals, Rihanna is confusingly dressed as a Geisha for a video called Princess of China and spends most of the video performing a multi-arm dance sequence that seems to point more towards Bollywood choreography than traditional Chinese dance. The main focal point of the video is Rihanna’s gold nail talons, with limited movement from the singer throughout the video.

Hopefully the full music video will incorporate more movement and a more regionally accurate wardrobe.
