Coldplay delay album, announce October release

March 2nd, 2011

Oh Coldplay, why must you tease us so? The band was set to released their fifth studio album late this spring, but announced on their site www.coldplaying.com that the album will be pushed back to October. It’s been three years since the band released Viva La Vida Vida or Death and All His Friends. Titles for the upcoming album that are being thrown around include Princess of China and Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall. For the love of four Englishmen, please let these titles be jokes.

The band is scheduled to headline 15 festivals between now and October, so expect to hear a lot of old music from Coldplay (not complaining, just stating). Coldplay have been working on their fifth studio album since December 2009 and released the video for Christmas Lights at the end of 2010.

The weather is appropriate, so let’s have a little Christmas in March, mmmmkay? Be a dear and pass the stuffing, won’t you?
