Coldplay’s New Album A Christmas Gift

You are in luck Coldplay fans! Coldplay will release a new album in 2010, according to Chris Martin. Martin says he hopes the album will be out by Christmas.

The band is currently at work in their private studio in London, which may be a converted church. How cool would that be for the album?

Coldplay’s last album was the hugely popular Viva La Vida that came out in 2008.

The band is also being very careful to avoid leaks. “There’s only two people in the whole building who know how to open all the recording files,” Martin said. “Even we don’t know how to do it. We couldn’t even steal our own music at the moment. You would have to be a computer genius and a great burglar to get into the building, and download it, and mix it.”

Martin also reassured fans by saying that they are signed on for a lot more albums with EMI. Looks like the end is not near.
