Conan O’Brien and Jack White made a killer musical pairing Thursday night in Nashville. After teasers of a collaboration hit the web this week, the pair performed a show at White’s Third Man Records and recorded a vinyl album.
O’Brien sang Willie Nelson’s “On The Road Again” and substituted the words singing, “My old show again/I just can’t wait to get my old show again,” which if you have been following his tour, has been a standard in his stand-up shows. He also did a solo cover of The White Stripes’ “Seven Nation Army.” White then joined him on stage for covers of Eddie Cochran’s “Twenty Flight Rock” and Ronnie Hawkins’ “Forty Days.”
