Conan O’Brien’s friendship with rock god Jack White (The White Stripes, Raconteurs, The Dead Weather) is a well-known relationship. This past summer, White made a dream come true for the talk show host and released a record on his own label, Third Man Records, that featured White himself joining Conan’s The Legally Prohibited Band.
Last night, White did Conan a solid, appearing on the very first episode of the much-hyped Conan, both performing and sitting down for a quick interview.
The two performed a cover of Eddie Cochran’s “Twenty Flight Rock,” showing that if this talk show thing doesn’t work out a third time for Conan, he can always fall back on his rock’n'roll. Didn’t look half bad!
Performance and interview below.
