For three days in September, fans of The Simpsons will get to see some very famous voices perform songs and skits from the TV show at The Hollywood Bowl in LA. The show will fittingly be hosted by Hank Azaria, who will be joined by Nancy Cartwright (Bart Simpson), Yeardley Smith (Lisa Simpson) and creator Matt Groening.
The Simpson’s event will also feature guests appearances from the likes of Jon Lovitz, Beverly D’Angelo, Weird Al, and Conan O’Brien, who worked as a writer and producer for the long-running series for two seasons from 1991 – 1993.
O’Brien will be performing The Monorail Song from the season four episode Marge vs. the Monorail, which O’Brien wrote. In the episode, the song was performed by monorail captain Lyle Lanley, who was voiced by the late Phil Hartman.
The special three-day show at The Hollywood Bowl will include clips of The Simpsons from the past 25 seasons, including never-before-seen videos. Let’s hope this all makes it online sometime in the very near future.
