After talking to MuchMusic.com about his new video for Vegas Girl while backstage at the 2012 MMVAs, Conor Maynard has dropped the follow up to his chart topping debut single Can’t Say No. Shot in New York City, Conor spends the video for Vegas Girl searching for a girl he met on the street, while gettings lots of help from his Mayniacs.
Maynard may be regarded as the next Justin Bieber, but make not mistake about it – the British teen has crafted a sound all his own. Infusing Vegas Girl with an almost dub step and deep bass sound more commonly found in his home country, the new single features Conor showing off his impressive pipes and his ability to write catchy and mature pop tracks. Working with Pharrell Williams, Ne-Yo, and Rita Ora on his debut album, Maynard is on track to release an album full of R’n B infused pop tracks that speak to the 20-something audience. Expect big things from Conor Maynard.
Conor Maynard’s debut album Contrast is set to drop on July 30. Check out Conor talking about the new album backstage at the 2012 MMVAs and watch his brand new video for Vegas Girl below.
