Conor Maynard releases new video for Drowning

To celebrate the upcoming debut of his first album Contrast, UK singer Conor Maynard has released a music video for his latest digital single Drowning. While Contrast won’t be available until July, Maynard is already amassing a following of ‘Mayniacs’, with his music video for Can’t Say No already racking up over 5 million views on YouTube.

In Drowning, Maynard sings about a failing relationship, with his smooth voice and slow, ambient beat bringing to mind comparisons to The Weeknd and Drake, an artist Maynard has covered many times on his YouTube channel. The black and white music video is a compilation of tour footage combined with a scripted set of scenes showing Maynard singing to his girlfriend and performing for the camera in an outdoor setting.

Showing versatility in his first two official singles, Can’t Say No and Drowning, Maynard is setting himself up for an eagerly anticipated debut album with Contrast. Check out Conor Maynard’s music video for Drowning below.
