This Fleetwood Mac tribute record is, quite possibly, the worst kept secret. It isn’t out until August 14th, but at least 75% of this album has leaked. The latest is Craig Wedren and, my personal favourite artist right now, St. Vincent performing “Sisters of the Moon” off of FM’s 1979 record Tusk. The original version features some scathing shred guitar licks from Lindsay Buckingham, which makes St. Vincent, one of the top guitarists out there, a popular selection. While Wedren’s production dominates most of the track (especially early on), the more ethereal synths from Strange Mercy as well as some signature tones from Annie Clark’s Eventide Space reverb pedal offer an undeniably ‘St. Vincent-y’ texture. They’re especially present during her lead vocal verse.
