Steven Patrick Morrissey is one of the most understood figures in modern music. He’s a curmudgeon, a style icon, and one of the most beloved songwriters ever. And so the thought of getting an interview with Morrissey was a real dream of Damian’s. On this week’s episode of The Wedge, that dream was set to come true. Well, that is until he got locked in the closet with his nemesis Cam and a mysterious cameraman.
Maybe no Morrissey, but Damian did manage to land an interview with Vancouver’s Japandroids, arguably Canada’s biggest indie band of the moment. Damian caught up with David Prowse and Brian King to discuss what life is like as a road warrior and some of the struggles that come with being a touring band.
