If you’re familiar with the Toronto bands Diamond Rings, P.S. I Love You and Timber Timbre, there’s a good chance you’re also familiar with a bespectacled guy named Colin Medley.
Over the past few years, Colin has been building a portfoilio with his business partner Jared Raab, making videos by all of those aforementioned artists using shoestring budgets. Their latest work is with a band called Matters, who were previously known as The D’Urbervilles and feature the one and only Diamond Rings as a member (though under his given name, John O’Regan.
This week The Wedge visited Colin during his night job at local record shop Soundscapes, where Damian discussed the new Matters video, “Get In Or Get Out,” and learned a thing or two from Colin about pronunciation.
