So you’ve watched America’s Best Dance Crew, but you’ve maybe found yourself wondering, “Man! Us Canadians need us some Dance Crews, eh?” Well we do have talent north of the border - need proof? Make sure to tune into MOD tomorrow Friday, March 28th @ 5pm ET. Canadian Dance Crew Supernaturalz will be in the house to showcase their sweet, sweet moves.
And then if you’re in the Greater Toronto Area this weekend, watch local Dance Crews battle in their own tete-a-tete of all things bounce:
Attention all Torontonians: Breakers Take Over the Guvernment!
Burns, freezes and attitude, that’s what a b-boy/breakdance battle is all about… and now its Canada’s time to take over the stage!
This Sunday, March 30th at the Guvernment nightclub in Toronto, Back to the Underground is bringing the annual bboy battle back to the stage, and then taking these dancers international. If you love the dance programming on Much, Bboy Unit Canada is an event you should not miss. The nation’s best teams go head to head to prove once and for all, who is the best crew in Canada.
The tricks, the flavour and the dancing energy will all be the highest caliber this country has ever produced, and the outcome will be the creation of team Canada. Bboy Unit Canada’s winning team will be flown to Korea, then Beijing, to compete in an official Pre-Olympic event, representing our country against 16 of the world’s best crews.
If you enjoy dancing, or you love real hip-hop culture, this is an event you cannot miss. With DJ Dopey and DJ Starting from Scratch, the music will be the best the nation has to offer. For more ticketing and event information, check out www.backtotheunderground.com
Now where are JC, Lil Mama and Shane Sparks when you need them?
