Debut Thunderheist Album Out March 31

Toronto-based duo Thunderheist are set to finally release their self-titled debut album on March 31 on Big Dada Recordings.

Producer Grahm Zilla and vocalist Isis are the duo that makes up Thunderheist, and they’ve been busy seeding their white hot jams on dancefloors across the globe for the better part of two years now. Their music is a solid mix of electro-rap, booty bass and gooey hooks.

Their single Jerk It has enjoyed heavy rotation on music blogs and I even spotted it briefly during a strip club scene in Oscar-nominated movie The Wrestler. And let’s not forget Suenos Dulces, set to a sample from The Eurythmics’ Sweet Dreams which I played to excess in 2008. Listen to both tracks on the band’s MySpace page. Sweet Sixteen will be the duo’s next single & video. I’m excited to hear what the rest of the album will be like!
