You know what’s awkward? Living with your ex-boyfriend. Double awkward? He’s your brother. Oh wait, it’s also Jake’s birthday and his Dad told him he could invite his ‘new girl’ to dinner. New girl? Triple awkward. My condolences, Clare.

At school that day, Clare accuses Alli of going after Jake now that they’ve broken up, but Alli isn’t his new girl. Any other guesses?

Let us not forget that Jenna kinda sorta snagged KC from Clare when she first came to Degrassi. These two do not have a good track record.

After school, Clare decides to get her mind off brother/boyfriend (weird) drama by finding a new vampire book. An overly friendly salesperson named Summer strikes up a conversation with Clare and before you know it, we’ve gone from blood suckers to Clare’s home situation.

Summer tells Clare that she and her boyfriend give teens with difficult home lives a place to stay. I really don’t think Clare’s situation is that difficult and from the somewhat freaked out look on Clare’s face, she doesn’t think so either. Still, Clare takes Summer’s phone number

At home Clare is finally getting her read-on when she hears Jake and Jenna flirting in the hallway.

Okay, time to call Summer.

The hits just keep on coming for C-bear. It’s time for Jake’s birthday dinner and Jenna has stayed for the festivities. Clare’s mom and stepdad ask Jenna about herself and Jenna explains that she took some time off last year to have Tyson.

Clare’s parents seem impressed that Jenna made such a mature decision, but Clare is upset that they’re being nice to Jenna.

So she does what any rational person would do and warns Jake to use condoms because Jenna is fertile. WOW! Clare! Ease up!

Frustrated with being home, Clare calls her dad and asks him to meet her for dinner. Mr. Edwards is happy to hear from his daughter, but when she asks to move in with him, Clare’s dad admits that he’s living with his new girlfriend and they don’t have space for Clare in their condo.

Later that night, Clare’s mom tries to talk to her about Jake’s birthday dinner and Clare tells her that she’s moving in with her father. Clare’s mom seems completely fine with this and doesn’t make any attempt to stop her from leaving.

Instead of going to her dad’s place, Clare takes Summer and her boyfriend up on their offer to stay with them. Sleeping in a strangers house? TERRIBLE IDEA, CLARE. Were there no vans with grown men offering to give you candy that you could have hung out in?

The next morning, Clare comes downstairs to find Summer and her boyfriend and a few other teens having a huge breakfast together. Clare gets a text from Jake, but Summer’s boyfriend explains that they do not allow cell phones in their house.

In his ‘old life’ he would let the phone control him. HOLD UP! Old life? Old life? This is a CULT! Clare! GET OUT! Instead of hearing my screams, Clare throws her phone into the fish tank, earning her a round of applause from the rest of the house. OMG. OMG. This is a CULT!

When Connor intercepts a pass in the hallway and impresses the rest of the guys, they encourage him to try out for football. Yay Connor!

Mo is also trying out for football and as the resident class clown most of Mo’s jokes don’t make sense to Connor.

His aspergers makes it difficult for Connor to understand social cues like jokes and it becomes obvious to the other guys on the team that Connor doesn’t understand what’s being said around him.

Still, Connor puts everything aside and impresses the rest of the guys and the coach. Also, when did Connor get buff? Hai thurre.

Connor is ecstatic when he finds out that he made the team, but his happiness quickly fades.

Mo, obviously upset that Connor made the starting line and he didn’t, invites all the guys out for wings, except for Connor.

KC tries to console Connor by reminding him that he’s still part of the team, but it doesn’t make Connor feel any better.

At practice, Connor decides that he needs to try to fit in more, so when Mo makes a joke Connor pretends to laugh. Unfortunately, Mo notices that Connor is faking and calls him out on it. KC tries to jump in and explain that Connor has aspergers, but Connor stops him before he can tell anyone.

After practice, Connor tells KC that he has a plan to help him get along with Mo. Connor thinks Mo joined football to get girls and decides that if he can get Mo a girlfriend through online dating then he can get Mo to quit football. This should be interesting.

Fiona and Imogen are given an assignment to build a miniature house for a class they share. Sweet assignment! Eli catches up with the girls in the hallway and asks why they are spending time doing homework and not plotting their revenge against Katie and Marisol. Good question.

Imogen is at Fiona’s loft working on the house and the two girls seem to have become really close. Fiona is crushing on Imogen, but doesn’t know whether Imogen would ever be interested in her.

Fiona tries to test the water by asking about Imogen’s crush on Eli and Imogen admits that she has locked those feelings away.

Fiona confides in her mother about her feelings for Imogen and decides that she’s going to try to match up Eli and Imogen so that Imogen won’t suspect Fiona is interested in her. Mrs. Coyne is worried about Fiona’s feelings getting hurt in the process and I’m with her on that.

Fiona asks Eli to meet her at The Dot and quickly begins drilling him about his feelings for Imogen.

Eli is caught off guard, but does admit that he likes Imogen.

Eli doesn’t think Imogen will forgive him for being so mean to her during the play, but Fiona tells Eli that she’s going to set them up.
