Degrassi Ep. 37: You make your bed, you lie in it

March 4th, 2011

It’s the return of the Fitz! As if that isn’t a big enough deal for one whole episode, we also see Jenna have a mini freak out due to baby hormones and Sav betrays Alli! Are we sure this show is only a half hour? Find out what went down on this weeks episode of Degrassi after the jump!

*Spoiler! This recap includes mayjah spoilers. If you missed tonight’s episode you can watch it here and read last week’s recaps here!

Eli has decided that his hearse, Morty, is a great vehicle to use in teaching Clare to drive. I say that if she can parallel park that beast she deserves to pass her driving test right on the spot.

Things are going well for about two seconds when…wait for it…Fitz runs in front of the car!!!! Ahhhhhhh!!! Like any good driving instructor Eli tells Clare to floor it.

Eli and Clare are trying to figure out how Fitz got released so soon. Clare wants to know why he wanted to talk to them, while Eli thinks he already knows.

Later that day Fitz approaches Clare at school when she’s alone and tries to apologize. He tells her that while he was in Juvenile Hall he found God and is a changed person. Clare tells him to leave her alone.

Clare tells Eli about Fitz trying to talk to her and he goes into full flip-out mode. She tells Eli that it’s not a big deal, but Eli thinks he needs to protect Clare. Clare is not too impressed with this statement. Still, Eli turns himself into James Bond and becomes a look out at school for any possible Fitz sitings.

At The Dot Clare is telling Adam that she really cares about Eli, but doesn’t like when he gets overprotective and possessive. Adam reassures her that it’s just a ‘guy thing’. The two spot Fitz working at the The Dot and Adam decides to bail on Clare. So much for guys being overprotective!

Clare decides that this is her chance to find out what Fitz really wants and if he’s serious about changing. They talk for a few minutes and Clare decides that what he’s saying is sincere. She forgives him and Fitz asks her to talk to Eli about forgiving him as well.

Fitz can ask Eli himself, because at that moment Eli rolls by The Dot and sees the two of them talking.

Eli screams at Clare to get away from Fitz and threatens Fitz, telling him to stay away from both Clare and Eli. So ya, I don’t think all is forgiven just yet.

Speaking of not being forgiven, the Bhandari’s aren’t greeting Alli with hugs and lollipops every morning. She’s been suspended for smoking on campus and Sav has offered to drive her to the library every day, the one place she’s allowed to visit. Alli tells Sav how much she appreciates his support and then starts rambling about Drew being the devil, yada yada yada.

Sav has his own share of problems to deal with. He is trying to compose an original song to submit to Music Conservatory’s, but needs a drummer.

He auditions drummers for the song…but most of them…well…

Sav No No

It’s a whole lotta bad.

That is, until Drew walks in. Sav knows that he could never work with Drew after he cheated on Alli, but then he hears Drew play. He’s good. Really good. Snaps. Sav decides to try to carefully tell Alli that he and Drew are going to work together.

What’s the opposite of thatwentreallyreallyreallywell? Well, it was the opposite of that. Sav knows he can’t betray Alli, but Drew was the only drummer that didn’t make him want to cut his ears off. So, he decides to work with Drew and pray that Alli won’t find out. Things are going great with their practice. They have an official bromance happening and Bianca takes a pic to commemorate the day.

I hope she’s got some extra film in that camera because the look on Alli’s face when she catches them all together is worth much more than 1,000 words.

At home, Alli is enraged with Sav. She goes off on him, screaming that Drew is the source of all her problems and the reason that she’s suspended and that her parents aren’t talking to her. She feels betrayed by Sav, but Sav isn’t going to take this lying down.

Though it sucks that he sided with the guy that cheated on his sister, Sav makes a good point, telling Alli that Drew didn’t make her date Johnny, dress in revealing clothing or get in a fight with Bianca. Those were all her decisions.

Shockingly, the two fifteen year olds who are about to have a baby have the least amount of drama in this episode. Jenna is focusing all her attention on learning everything she can about babies and KC isn’t exactly helping things. He decides that his pregnant girlfriend needs to relax and have some fun skateboarding. Skateboarding? Seriously? KC, you’re in the gifted class. Come on. As Jenna pointed out, she’s 200 weeks pregnant! She’s also having some serious chicken cravings.

At their prenatal class that night KC decides to show Jenna that he’s ready for a baby by racing her in a diappering competition and whoopin’ her. Take that! In yo face! I mean, um, good try Jenna!

After realizing she can’t change her baby’s diaper in the time it takes to change a tire at the Indy 500, Jenna feels defeated. Noticing that she’s upset, the prenatal teacher tells Jenna and KC that they can practice being parents on her 6 year-old kid. Jenna’s excited, but I’m with KC on this one. Free baby sitting? Not exciting.

Will Eli and Fitz have a hallway rematch? Will Alli ever forgive Sav? Will Jenna be able to put a diaper on her baybeh? Find out on an all new episode of Degrassi next Friday at 9pm ET exclusively on MuchMusic!
