As it is inevitably the end of the summer concert series, one of the last big tours of the season, Projekt Revolution hit Toronto the other day. And, in our continuing efforts to bring you interviews with the bands you love, we spent the day with a few of the headliners this past Tuesday.

Although the weather was unseasonably cold and wet, the bands were in good spirits. Or were they? We got the chance to speak to H.I.M, who are the Finnish equivalent to My Chemical Romance meets Cradle Of Filth.

Finnish men have such a strange sense of humour, it is appropriately as cold and dry as the landscape from which they travelled, but a good interview nonetheless. Such was the case with Gerard Way from MCR, who is the most self aware person I’ve ever met and despite living an adolescence he described as “one of drinking gasoline and chewing glass”, he seems to be in good spirits these days.

Don’t believe the reports, he’s not engaged. We spoke about this, among other things (you can catch the interview on MuchNews Weekly by the way). I had to go back to the station after the interview so I caught a ride back with Gerard, as he was heading to MOD for a live interview. On the way he was playing with the new iPhone, which, by the way is the coolest thing I’ve ever seen. Ever.

And that was it. My day at the Projekt Revolution tour. Relatively uneventful, but probably the most exciting thing to happen on the job this week (as you may have guessed, it’s been a slow week)! Have a great week!
