Did Avril Lavigne bag herself a new job?

Did Avril Lavigne land herself a new job bagging groceries at Safeway? Nope, but I’m sure the chain would love to have her on a permanent basis! Lavigne was lending a hand and good paper or plastic organization skills (eggs get their own bag, never forget that) to help Safeway grocery stores raise money for Special Olympics and Easter Seals charities.

After spending Tuesday helping her local Safeway raise funds, Lavigne tweeted “Just bagged groceries with Safeway to support their people with disabilities campaign with Easter Seals! I got a medal today!”. In addition to lending her time, Avril also posted exclusive video footage on her site that fans can download for $5, with the proceeds going to Safeway’s charities. Now that’s rock and roll.
